That the Kampala Serena Hotel last week hosted Awilo Longomba in the ‘Awilo Live in Kampala’ show is no longer news.
It is also not news that the Congolese music legend put up a performance worth all sorts of awards. The show, according to Cents Events, the official show organizers, was graced by Ugandan artistes Jackie Chandiru, Eddy Kenzo, Levixone and Congolese guitarist Charmant Mushaga.
But to everyone’s surprise Cindy did not show up for her scheduled performance.
“So my performance at the Awilo Longomba concert was cancelled on the last minute. I apologise for this. It would have really been great. I mean look at this outfit,” Cindy posted on April 6 without giving any reasons.
It was Comedian Salvador Idringi who came out to give reasons why Cindy was denied the microphone, claiming that she was very late.
“For those wondering why Cindy didn’t perform that night, I’ve also seen on her instagram page saying that she doesn’t know….well madam you came late, very late….now you know madam,” Salvador posted.
Maybe after this, musicians can learn to keep time.
