Kadaga taken to Nairobi for further treatment

The Speaker of Parliament Rebecca Kadaga has been taken to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, Kenya for further treatment, Watchdog has learnt.

Kadaga was on Thursday evening rushed to Nakasero Hospital while in critical condition.

The 62-year-old Kamuli District Woman MP, had just returned from New York where she attended the 63rd session of the Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations headquarters when she complained of fatigue -related illness.

“The Speaker of Parliament Rt Hon. Rebecca Kadaga is currently being managed by doctors at Nakasero Hospital in Kampala over fatigue-related illness. She was admitted o Thursday soon after her return from a hectic working tour of Morocco and the United States of America,” Her Principal Press Secretary, Sam Obbo said in a statement.

“Due to the hectic work schedule, fatigue and jetlag, she has had to be admitted to hospital. We hope her privacy will be respected during this period. We wish her speedy recovery.”
