Kobs, Heathens stroll through to Uganda Cup next round

The Uganda Cup, Uganda’s rugby season opener kicked off this weekend with giants Kobs, Heathens and defending champions Black Pirates all strolling through to the second round with cricket scorelines.

Betway Kobs travelled to Jinja and smacked Walukuba 10-71. Edrine Ssempebwa crossed the white line twice while Davis Kiwalabye and Robert Aziku joined a host of other players who crossed the white line once.

James Ijongat’s kicking seemed to at it’s best as he recorded eight conversations in the process. Elsewhere, Heathens beat Kyambogo 134-00 with Romano Ogwal, Bishop Onen, Kevin Keremundu, Charles Uhuru and Bashir Khan all crossing the line once, along with a host of other players.

In Mbale, defending champions Black Pirates made easy work of Mbale Elephants with a 17-76 win.
