Police is holding a 33 year old Deo Mukasa, a resident of Kampala for many crimes ranging from breaking into hotels, to mobile money theft.
This arrest was made on Monday while the man was trying to sell four used TV sets to a shopkeeper, who became suspicious and alerted the police.
The suspect has confessed to conducting his trade during the night esp money operators that work late in the night
Its alleged that the suspect has so far stolen 40 televisions from hotels across Katwe, Kabalagala and robbed 10 mobile money businesses over a span of four months.
The affected mobile money business owners have lost money up to a tune of 23 million Uganda shillings.
The suspect is a former convict, having served a five year sentence in Luzira.
Deo is currently being detained at Katwe Police Station on SD REF. 41/08/04/2018 on burglary and theft, robbery charges.
