President Museveni has met crime preventers national coordinator Blaise Kamugisha.

Reliable sources told this website that Blaise met the president in Rukunguri during his tour of the district on Friday.

Our attempts to reach Kamugisha were futile as his known telephone number went unanswered.

However  Kamugisha  was spotted on Friday, before the president turned up to address the rallies graced by Rukunguri heavy weights Jim Muhwezi and Prof Mondo Kagonyera.

Kamugisha, one of the right hand men of the former police chief Gen Kale Kayihura is said to be in Rukunguri on president Museveni’s invitation. The youthful leader is said to have about 11 million people under his organisation formed to support community policing programs.

Police spokesman Emilian Kayiwa had told the press early in the week that the fate our crime preventers depended on new IGP Martin Okoth Ochola. However Kamugisha told the Observer newspaper that the group was serving President Museveni and supporting community policing at the same time.
