NRM party has refused to concede defeat of their candidate Nathan Igeme Nabeta in the just concluded Jinja East by-election.

Nabeta got 5043 votes and was trounced by FDC’s Paul Mwiru who got 6,654.

However, addressing the press on Friday morning, NRM Secretary General Justine Kasule Lumumba revealed that yesterday’s election was riddled with various electoral malpractices such as multiple voting, intimation of voters, voter bribery and acts of violence so they have instructed their lawyers to assess before they could take a next course of action.
