KCCA FC midfielder Paul Mucureezi has come out to speak about his performance and the team at large in the CAF Champions League.

The quick feet player who can operate as a forward and winger spoke blissfully to the club media about the encounter with CNaPS and what his maiden 63rd minute goal meant to him.

“I am happy that we have qualified to the first round of the CAF Champions League. We deserved to win this game because we fought from the first whistle. I am overjoyed with the kind of character we displayed as a team when the tie was goalless. We took the ball to them and luckily this paid off,”said Mucureezi.

“I am happy I scored the lone goal that qualified us but it should have been two or more on the day but that’s football sometimes you miss sometimes you score. But in general it was a good game and everyone had a big part they played in getting the team to the next round. Our keeper (Lukwago) had a couple of point blank saves and I think they too decided the tie. We now have to set focus on the next round and make sure we qualify for the group stages,”he  added.
