Eddy Twine scored a late second half penalty for Kampala United in the well attended match also watched by the SC Villa president Eng. Ben Immanuel Misagga.

Wasswa Bbosa, the head coach at SC Villa Jogoo praised the character of the players as the team looks ahead the long awaited kick off of the second round.

“We played well and the response of the players has been top class. We shall continue to prepare for the league second round as well as the FUFA Uganda Cup” Bbosa said.

One of the two new players training with the club Arthur Kiggundu (left back) and Chrispus Kusiima (goalkeeper) were introduced in the second half.

The three players who had been with Uganda Cranes in Morocco – Bernard Muwanga, Allan Kyambadde and Joseph Nsubuga were rested.

This was the second build up match of the mid-season after Thursday’s 7-1 victory against City Lads.

SC Villa Jogoo will then play their third match against Buganda regional outfit, Azam Football Club on Saturday, 27th January 2018 in the morning at Villa Park.
