A primary school teacher in Kabalagala has been arrested for allegedly breaching the teachers’ code of conduct and moral ethical behaviour by defiling his own pupil.

A 16-year-old pupil of a prominent School in Kabalagala was defiled by a 23-year-old teacher who instead of guiding, encouraging the child to study lured her into sex and defiled her innocence.

The teacher identified as Nyende Vicent was contacted and contracted by the victim’s parents to coach the girl in the subjects she had reportedly been weak in. The teacher who was seen as a mathematics and English subject guru used the coaching period to seduce and throw love pick up lines at the young girl.

As the examination period was approaching, the little girl failed to attain the required pass mark which prompted the school to administer a punishment which she declined to.

The defiled victim was then sent home on suspension by the school administration and was required to report with a parent for disciplinary measures.

The young girl who is believed to have been pregnant then decided to escape to his male teacher “friend’s” home where an abortion was made and she was nursed for four days. On returning home to the bitter parents, she was interrogated at a family level and a lot of findings made which prompted the parents to report the case at Ggaba Police Station and the arrest was effected.

Mr. Nyende faces charges of defilement and spoiling the future of the child entrusted to him by unsuspecting parents whose wish was to offer their daughter the best possible training and protection for a good future.

If found guilty, 23year old primary teacher could face up to 18 years in prison for defilement. According to the Penal Act Uganda 1950 , a person who unlawfully has sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of eighteen years commits an offence and is liable to suffer death.
