President Museveni has donated a brand new vehicle to Dr. Daniel Batte, the Archbishop of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Uganda.
The Party National Treasurer Rose Namayanja Nsereko officially handed over the car to the Archbishop at Najjanankumbi SDA Church this Sabbath (Saturday). Pastor Matte was in Najjanankumbi to preside over the Sabbath prayers that concluded this year’s seven-day camp meeting. Similar camp meetings have been going on country wide.
“The President appreciates your role in promoting unity and prosperity among church members”, Namayanja told a mammoth congregation. As part of her thanksgiving offertory to God, Namayanja and husband Nsereko donated a modern office table, chair, computer and internet router to the Church leadership in Najjanankumbi.
Speaking shortly after receiving the motor vehicle keys, Archbishop Matte said, “We shall use the car for the right work God has sent us to do. May God bless President Yoweri Museveni”.
Earlier in the day, Pastor Samuel Kajoba the Central Uganda Conference Bishop commended the NRM government for providing an enabling environment to the freedom of worship in the country.
Kajoba further said, the appointment of Rose Namayanja to head the treasury of the ruling party was a sign of total trust the President has in the SDA church.
“We shall continue to serve and trust this NRM regime and President Museveni in particular”, Kajoba concluded.
