The administrators of GEMS Cambridge International School in Kampala are on spot after being petitioned by a section of school’s concerned parents and teachers.

The teachers and parents accuse the administrators of harassment, poor management, dissatisfaction and conflict of interest among others.

In a letter , the petitioners claim that as a result of the poor working conditions at the school, the staff satisfaction is at its lowest.

According to the petitioners, the listed queries have caused staff, especially the foreign teachers from UK to opt to leave.

They further cite unnecessary staff pay cuts as one the major causes of staff unrest.

“As parents we are very dissatisfied with these changes (departing staff). There was hope that teachers would stay and the school would regain stability as in other international schools,” the letter partly read.
