Commander of Kampala Metropolitan Police CP. Mwesigwa Frank on Tuesday launched security village lookout teams to fight against crimes along the impassable Northern Bypass Route following public outcry.
These teams are to work jointly with Integrated Highway Squad,Flying Squad, police motorcycle brigade and territorial forces.
This comes as a security antidote to a series of theft, rape and vandalism cases that have been reported along the said route. Heavy deployment has been done comprising of both covertly dressed and uniformed personels in collaboration with public.
