Tycoon Sam Buchanan rescues stranded Ugandan boxers

It was about 8 hours left for the bombers to be cleared air tickets worth USD 600 when rich Sam Buchanan appeared for rescue in the last hour.

The team that was flagged off today immediately after Buchanan clearing the fee of UDS 500 at the National Council of Sports[NCS] Lugogo  by the NCS general secretary Nicholas Mulamagi

In his speech while handing over the money to the bombers, Buchanan advised the players to go and put the Ugandan flag up.

‘This is Uganda. It’s our country and it is you to lift the flag at this time. So go and raise it higher’ Said Buchanan

The NCS general secretary  Mr. Nicholas Mulamagi while flagging off the Bombers appreciated all partners that have come up to help the national team.

On this note, he specially thanked KCCA for giving the tickets that the KCCA players shall use as well as insurance.

He however attacked the Ugandan boxers who go to fight for cheap amount of money. This, he termed as cheap popularity hence he advised them to promote the brand called Uganda.

‘We have given you this opportunity to prosper and showcase your talent. Sports is endowed but it is like heaven. You have to work and plan hard.’ Said Mulamagi

Betway managed to provide 16 track suites as well as training shirts as the NCS gave in UGX3M.

Hon Tayebwa and Mr. Ham, P. Kayanja as well as Godfrey Nyakaana are some of the individuals who came out to rescue the Ugandan National Boxing team the Bombers

The team is slated to go this evening to Congo Brazavillefor the African championship.

Team: Umar Mutebi, Joshua, Moses Kabuka, Juma Miiro, Isaac Masembe, Geoffrey Kakeeto, Marvin Ssali, Wasswa Ssali, Joshua Nyanzi, Shadir Musa Kimera, Latif Muwonge, Muzamir Kakande, David Kavuma Semujju, Yuduf Babu, Kenneth Mubazzi; Reagan Ssimbwa, John Owino, Shaffiq Kiwanuka, Solomon Kozala Geko and David Ayita
