However, the National Identification and Registration Authority has come out to clarify that it’s offices will remain open during the Easter Holiday so that people could be able to retain IDs so that they can register their SIM cards within the announced seven days.

NIRA notice;

The National Identification and Registration Authority (NIRA) wishes to inform t he general public that owing to the on-going exercise to verify Sim cards, all its offices across the country will remain open through the Easter weekend to support members of the public seeking national ID services.
NIRA offices are located in all districts in the country. In Kampala, our offices are located at the five KCCA Divisions for Kampala.
During the validation period, NIRA has made special arrangements to cater for clients in Wakiso by setting up additional service points at the following locations:

2. Entebbe Municipality Offices
3. Nsangi (Sub-County)
4. Makindye Ssabagabo
