It seems former Ethics Minister Miria Matembe cannot forget the incident when her photo putting on leggings went viral on social media.
The photo broke the internet not because the activist was putting on a legging, but it’s because it showed all particulars of Matembe which her mother gave her.
While discussing about Dr. Stella Nyanzi’s issue on NBS’s Frontline show yesterday, Matembe revealed that she is not a frequent user of social media like Dr. Nyanzi but she was once a victim citing the day someone took a picture of her in leggings.
“I am not a frequent user of social media however I was once a victim. Somebody took a picture of me in my leggings,” Matembe said.
She further said that she didn’t know Stella Nyanzi until she stripped and it was all over news.
However, Matembe does not support Nyanzi’s means of expressing her discontentedness saying that as a doctor that is not the only way of expression even when she is pushed to the wall.
Meanwhile in all this, she doesn’t agree with Dr. Nyanzi’s arrest and persecution yet even President Yoweri Museveni uses the same language.
“However in all this, I don’t agree with Stella Nyanzi’s arrest and persecution yet even Museveni uses the same language,” Matembe stated.
