Jailed businessman Mathew Kanyamunyu, girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari and brother Joseph Kanyamunyu accused of murdering Child rights activist Kenneth Akena are expected to appear in court today for a second bail hearing.
They were denied bail in their first application on grounds that they had no permanent address by High Court Judge Elizabeth Kibula Kabanda.
Last week, the trio’s second bail hearing was assigned to Judge Yasin Nyanzi of the High Court in Kampala.
Prosecution alleges that the accused and others still at large on November 12, 2016 along Jinja Road opposite Malik car caused the death of Akena, the community development officer, employed by a local non-governmental organization.
