National Water and Sewerage Cooperation (NWSC) has installed two motorized boreholes in Gulu Municipality to ease the water scarcity in the district.
This project has been installed in Mican Sub County and Bardege in Gulu municipality worth shs300 million.
Dr. Silver Mugisha, the managing Director NWSC said that the people in Gulu have been facing a problem of inadequate water and also walking long distances to get water.
“People engaging in cattle rearing in this district have been facing a lot of problems in finding water for their cattle therefore their cattle was dying constantly thus incurring losses.” Dr. Mugisha said.
Dr. Mugisha added that these boreholes will provide clean water to the people and their cattle.
