The proprietor of Pink Foods Industries, Stephen Sembuya who has made a name in making chocolate has asked President Yoweri Museveni and the head of Operation Wealth Creation, Gen. Salim Saleh to start manufacturing products for supermarkets from their farms.

Sembuya urged the two leaders to ‘walk the talk’ and lead by example so that they can create some sort of cadre of mini version of themselves.

According to the young entrepreneur ,President Museveni and Gen.Saleh have for years have been Champions of  value addition but  have not produced anything for example the Milk from Rwakitura; telling others what to do is not as effective as living by the Values you want others to follow.

“President Museveni is known to keep predominately indigenous breeds of the ANKOLE COWS but no value addition for Ugandans to learn from; the dairy processing industry in Uganda is young,  rapid and vibrant with Brookside dairy, Jesa, Pearl,GBK,LAKE SIDE, KOOKY,HOLLAND and MILKMAN the latest entrant,” Sembuya noted.

“Value Addition Champ Gen. SALIM SALEH is also in Agriculture with his larger than life Namunkera Rural Industrial park but will  need to have presence  of products from his farm on many of the shelves in the Supermarkets,”He added.

Sembuya further asserts that President Uhuru Kenyatta has done it with Brookside dairies a processing co. founded in Kenya in 1993 that produces and markets fresh milk, yogurt, butter in Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda adding that he has previously been a beneficiary of the generous General’s smile.

“Gen. Gen Saleh before you give out your next monies, lets have your product presence in the face of Ugandans so that they learn from your success,” He urged.
