A close friend to the Kyabazinga of Busoga William Gabula has come out to express the king’s desire to take up the Ambassadorial role which was given to him by President Yoweri Museveni.

Isaac Imaka a journalist who is a known friend to the Kyabazinga said the appointment of Gabula as an ambassador for Special Duties/Diplomacy is a very strategic move for Busoga citing that they shall take the position.

“The appointment of William Gabula ambassador Special Duties/Diplomacy is a very strategic move for Busoga. We appreciate it and we shall take it,” Imaka wrote on his facebook page.

Imaka warned all the social media cultural experts to take back their criticisms and condemnations saying that they refuse to dragged to the 21st century mentality of ‘a king does not work’.

“Now all you social media cultural experts can talk the talk until the cows (if you have any) come home but we refuse to be dragged to the 21st century mentality of “a king does not work”. Imaka noted

“You expect a 28 year old with Magna cum Laude Masters in Economics from Coventry to sit home all his life?” He inquired adding that the Basoga who are yet to understand the appointment, should not be like Galatians.

Kyabazinga’s appointment as an Ambassador has sparked mixed feelings among the Busoga people as well as the nation at large.
