Comedian Kapere who almost slept in jail on Monday was bailed out by his London based brother who sent him 600,000 shillings which he used to settle part of the debt he owed a one Pastor Mpagi who had cunningly picked the comedian up from Calendar Rest house in Makindye and took him to Nakuwadde police post.
At the police station, Kapere had a case of obtaining money by false pretence was pushed to the wall and paid off the 600,000 shillings entering an agreement to pay the balance of 900,000 shillings by 30th September so as to survive going to jail.
The money is said to have came from his elder brother in the UK but Kapere was still in defiance mode as he said these people were not patient with him considering he makes his money slowly adding that if he was jailed he was not going to pay any cent.
The rather scared and sweating comedian though seemed to have learnt a lesson never to take money and not deliver as he was so close to spending the night behind bars!
