Information reaching our news desk indicates that Tanzania Police have arrested singer Diamond platnumz over a series of explicit videos posted on his official Instagram account on Sunday evening.
According to Baraka FM Mombasa, the Tanzanian minister of information culture and sports Dr Harrison Mwakyembe confirmed that Diamond was arrested on Monday evening and grilled at a police station and he was expected to be charged in court over contravening the country’s moral standards.
The videos which Diamond has since pulled down from his official Instagram account showed him cuddling with an unidentified female and his baby mama Hamisa Mobetto in the presence of his fellow Wasafi crooner Harmonize.
The videos caused different reactions among his fans , those of his baby mamas Zari Hassan and Hamisa Mobetto with Zari’s fans accusing him of putting the videos online to hit back at him because a few days before she had allegedly attacked him over not going to see his children with the Ugandan socialite Tiffah and Nillan.
This is not the first time the Tanzanian crooner is clashing with the Tanzanian authorities over contravening the Tanzanian morals.
Earlier in the year ,Diamond was accused of being rude and disrespectful to the Tanzanian arts department BASATA on social media.
This was after they banned two of his songs Waka Waka which he features American rapper Rick Ross and Halleluyah which he features Morgan Heritage over contravening the Tanzanian moral code set for artistes.
