Zarinah Hassan fans can start celebrating again, after news emerged that her ex, Diamond Platnumz has postponed plans to marry Tanasha Oketch. News reaching Watchdog Uganda are that the love between the Kenyan beauty and the Tanzanian singer, dancer and baby daddy was only founded on a need to promote Platnumz shows in Kenya last December.
The shows were sponsored by Kenya’s NRG Radio, Tanasha employers.
Earlier, Diamond reportedly said that he would change the wedding date from February 14 because he wanted a grandeur ceremony with many guests.
Diamond and Tanasha Oketch have been in a relationship since November last year.
“My wedding was supposed to be held on Valentine’s Day – February 14 –, but we have postponed it. Many people are supposed to attend the ceremony. I expect the likes of Rick Ross, among other high-profile entertainment figures, to be in attendance,” said Diamond.
Ironically, the singer and Ugandan socialite Zari broke off their relationship on February 14, last year.
In December 2018, Diamond told Ijumaa newspaper that Tanasha has a better body, facial features and character than any of the women he has ever dated including Zari.
“None of the women I have dated in the past wanted to settle down with me,” the Marry Me singer said, adding that it is only Tanasha who accepted to be his wife.
“Tanasha Oketch is the only woman who has shown me that she takes seriously my desire to have a wife. And, as a result of her commitment, I hereby say – officially – that she is the one I will marry.”
Diamond and Zari have two children together Latifah Dangote and Prince Nillan.
