Equity Bank Powers Drugs Express Team with Ugx20m Sponsorship Package Ahead of SMC Masaka Rally

Equity Bank has announced that it will provide Shs20 million in sponsorship to the Drugs Express Team. This comes just before the highly anticipated Southern Motor Club (SMC) Masaka Rally, which will take place on April 13 and 14 at E-Villas Park in Kalisizo.The announcement comes after Equity Bank and the Drugs Express Rally Team signed a Memorandum of Understanding at its Masaka branch on Friday.

Clare Gatabi Tumwesigye, Equity Bank’s Head of Marketing and Corporate Communications, stated, “We are thrilled to announce our sponsorship of the Drugs Express Rally Team, where passion meets performance at every turn.” So, here is to accelerating success, pushing boundaries at every twist and turn, with our community in mind.
She continued, “As Equity Bank, we have come a long way in supporting sports such as golf, football, and all other sports through various corporate league sponsorships.” This will be our second year of partnership with the Drugs Express Rally Team, and each year is better.

Dr. Moustapha Mukasa, team leader for the Drugs Express Rally Team, thanked Equity Bank for their support and promised to be a contender.

“Equity Bank’s commitment to supporting our team demonstrates their dedication to fostering talent through social investment and promoting the spirit of adventure and competition,” Mukasa said.He added, “We promise our team, fans, families, friends, sponsors, and the FMU fraternity that we will do our best as we continue to demonstrate our capabilities.”

Ms Tumwesigye and Mukasa, Team Lead at the Drugs Express Rally Team, began the Masaka SMC Rally at Hotel Next in Masaka. The rally, organised by the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of Uganda, will feature 31 teams from across Uganda.
