Stop fighting yourselves in public- FMU members warned

The Federation of Motor Sports Clubs of Uganda (FMU) had become a battle field with members accusing each other of being ambiguous and lack of sportsmanship traits.

During the General election process, delegates pointed out un-trustworthiness as the reason for the backward flow of FMU and it’s the factor that pushed most of the voters for who they went for.

Just after a week after election, the internal fights intensified when Uganda Motorcross decided to push for self administration by creating their own faction,Motorcycling Association of Uganda (MAU) and since then it has been a war of words.

During the launch of the International University of East Africa – Eastern Motor Club Rally (IUEA EMC Rally) at Source of the Nile Hotel in Jinja on Tuesday, George Malinga the Coca Cola promotions Manager, advised the federation to wash their dirty linen behind doors so that it doesn’t push away partners.

“We love this sport and have attachment to it but your politics will scare us away. Sort out your issues inside your house it will scare away potential sponsors. Our brands are international and don’t want to associate with such negative energies,”Said Malinga.

Century bottling company promised a good working relationship during the rally and affirmed to the consumers as all their brands shall be available at event day at normal prices.

Motosport is going back in Jinja for the first time in the last three years and shall cover a total distance of 295km of which 154km are competitive with the first competitive day being 7th March.
