Kampala, October 31, 2019. The Most Rt. Rev. Stanley Ntagali, the outgoing Archbishop of Church of Uganda has applauded Kampala Parents’ School (KPS) for teaching religion and godliness to pupils.

The archbishop led prayers for the dedication to God of Primary Seven candidates of KPS ahead of Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) said the school was doing children a lot of good by giving children an opportunity to recognize the power of God in their lives.

Archbishop Ntagali who was welcomed at the school by school director Sheena Ruparelia drew his sermon from Proverbs 2, asked candidates to trust God in order to succeed in life.

“It is my prayer that the Lord grants knowledge to remember all you have read in the past years and stay focused for achievement of your dreams,” he prayed.

One of the parents and state minister of Lands, Persis Namuganza said KPS was a partner with government in providing quality education.

“’This is a good school, last year my son scored four aggregates and this indicates that this is a good school with favorable environment that allows children to learn. To all parents, thank you for choosing Kampala parents,” she said.

PLE start next Monday and will end on Tuesday, with countrywide briefing taking place on Friday.

This year, 236 candidates registered to sit their PLE at KPS. They are among 695,793 candidates nationally who will be sitting for the exams.

KPS Principal, Kato Daphine, called the prayers a “special moment”.

Kampala Parents is one of Uganda’s education facilities offering children an all-round education.

The school as the best facilities for a child to flourish in their education including world class classrooms, library, extra curriculum facilities like sports fields among others. It offers national and international education programs.

Representing fellow students, Natasha Byarugaba, recalled her seven years at KPS as, “It is like yesterday” when she first attended primary one at the school. She said many of them cried and wanted to go back home.

Ms Byarugaba praised the Principal, teachers and other school caretakers for being available always to their personal and educational needs.
