Stella Nyanzi has accused Buganda Road Court Magistrate Gladys Kamasanyu of bias during her cyber harassment case against President Museveni.
Dr Nyanzi, a Makerere University Researcher who has been on remand for a year also wants the case given to another magistrate.
Judgment of said case is due Wednesday.
On Monday however, Dr Nyanzi appeared before Justice Jane Francis Abodo with a request to retrial because Kamasanyu did not give her a chance to defend herself.
However prosecution dismissed Dr Nyanzi’s request, saying there was no irregularity detected.
Instead, lead prosecutor Timothy Amerit said Nyanzi and her lawyer Isaac Ssemakadde want to frustrate the delivery of the pending judgement.
A ruling will be made on Wednesday.
