House of Prayer senior pastor Aloysius Bugingo says Ugandans criticising him were just picking on him.

Bugingo who was earlier rumoured arrested on Sunday morning, said, since he spoke about his wife Teddy suffered vagina hearmorage disease for 10 years, many people have attacked him and threatened to invade his church to return cotton and sanitary towels he said he spent on while treating his wife.

At mid day, Bugingo went on the pulpit at his church and said Ugandans were wagging a war against him including faking news about his arrest.

“I cannot be arrested. Top security bosses have been asking me today about my arrest. I am not a criminal.”

He added: “People say I speak demeaning words about my family at the pulpit and more so, disrespect women,” he said to cheering crowds. “But I cannot disrespect my family or women”.

Bugingo who he referred to Teddy as his “friend”, apologized for the second time to his family and women all over Uganda.

“Teddy said these words so many times. It doesn’t offend her.” He said.

Bugingo has faced so much criticism since it emerged he wanted to divorce his wife of 29 years to marry a younger radio presenter Susan Makula, who works at his Salt Media.
