Police in Sembabule District is having in custody a one Steven Kusasira, 43 for murdering his wife.
It is alleged that Kusasira killed Kisakye Elizabeth, 46 by cutting using a panga.
The incident happened on Thursday at Nakarerwe village mbuye parish Lugusulu Sub County Sembabule district.
According to Greater Masaka Regional Police Spokesperson John Paul Kangave, the two had a domestic misunderstanding that resulted into the murder.
“Using the Canine, the Police visited the scene using the dog tracked down, and arrested the suspect, who we have found attempting to commit suicide,” he said.
“The suspect was rushed to Masaka Referral Hospital for medical attention as he had cut his throat using panga and the same was recovered as an exhibit.”
Kangave also urged the public to use all Police avenues available like the Child and Family Protection unit to sort all domestic related issues.
