Bugingo: Kabushenga should apologise to pastors or we show him fire

House of Prayer Ministries International (HPMI) lead Pastor Aloysius Bugingo has joined the long queue of men of God condemning New Vision newspaper’s attack on them.

Last week, the local daily published an article titled ‘20 top pastors probed over rape, murder’ which did not go well for most born again Christian leaders and their followers.

They have since described the publication as their enemy.

Appearing on his Salt Television on Wednesday night, Bugingo tasked New Vision to mention by name all the other 19 pastors accused of rape and murder since it only talks about Pastor Augustine Yiga of Revival Christian Church Kawaala.

He also wondered why a government owned newspaper allows to be used by selfish people to fight born agains.

“When I find people reading New Vision I don’t see sense in them,” he lamented.

Bugingo further said the publication’s Chief Executive Officer Robert Kabushenga should come out publicly and apologize to them if he wants to live a happy life henceforth.

“Kabushenga should write a public apology to us. If he refuses and continue fighting us then we shall be left with no option apart from showing him what we are made of.”

A few days ago, Joseph Kabuleta attacked the publication over the same article.

In his Facebook rant, the founder of The Watchman Ministries said the published piece was the true definition of worst sensational journalism.

Kabuleta said the whole article was rotating around Yiga but in the headline, they made it look that they were having details for other 19 pastors.

Recently, Yiga, the lead pastor of Revival Christian Church Kawaala was on spot over alleged rape and child neglect. He was arrested only to be released after three days in detention.

Kabuleta stated that New Vision personnel have clearly prostituted themselves to become a mouthpiece of a certain agenda.

“That could never happen under the leadership of William Pike. But I suppose nothing is off limits when NRM cadres take charge.”
