When it comes to December, most people start preparing to go to their villages to enjoy Christmas holiday with their loved ones. But this time round it may be a bit difficult for those who hail from Kisoro to smoothly access their destinations.

Due to heavy downpour, the road between Muko Rushaga-Rubuguri -Nkuringo has been cut and Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) is advising road users, tour operators to stay away.

“Road users are therefore advised to use the alternative link of Kisoro-Nyabwishenya-Nkuringo road which is in a better condition as our technical team work around the clock to restore connectivity on the affected road,” UNRA statement dated December 14 reads in parts.

Adding, “We apologise for any inconvenience caused.”
