Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi also known as Bobi Wine has been arrested. Bobi Wine was arrested minutes after police shot dead his driver near their hotel in Arua town.
The shooting and arrest took place after their rally with Kasiano Wadri in the North Western town of Arua.
Our sources say Bobi Wine has been whisked away to an unknown location by plain clothed security men. The reason for his arrest is still unknown but word on the street has it that his supporters threw stones at the convoy of President Museveni has he drove to the airfield to return to Kampala.
However, Bobi had told his twitter followers that police and SFC had surrounded his hotel after they shot Yasin Kawuma, who took the bullet because they believe the MP was in the car.
Bobi Wine has since the weekend entered Arua and threw his celebrity weight behind Kasiano Wadri, one of the front runners in the Arua Municipality race to replace the late Abiriga Ibrahim who was assassinated last month in Kawanda, Wakiso district. The Arua race is once again pitting big wigs President Museveni who is campaigning for Nusura Tiperu the NRM ticket bearer, Kizza Besigye who is rallying behind Bruce Musema of FDC and Bobi Wine, who is the new kid on the block, and has endorsed Kasiano Wadri.
