The NRM MP for Kajara county Ntunamgo district Timuzigu Michael Kamugisha on  Saturday broke silence over the NRM officials who refer to him as rebel MP as well as a party spoiler.

Speaking to press at his residence along Jack Jex road Ntungamo municipality, Timuzigu refuted the allegation and castigated the act being propelled by selfish and greedy leaders in the NRM party which will bring down the party cohesion in long run.

He noted that he has never supported any political party other than NRM party because it was a party with good ideology but those who against the will of the majority are myopic who seek cheap popularity and selfish.

Timuzigu was sidelined and isolated immediately after the presidential age limit consultations when he stood before the floor of parliament and presented the views of the voters in Kajara County where the majority told him not to change the constitution Article 102b.

In all five sub counties and one town council that made up Kajara county all voted no on constitution amendments unlike other leaders who presented minority voted from only leaders.

This angered some party officials in the district including the party chairperson  that they will trim him.

As this was not enough they banned Timuzigu from attending or holding any NRM party meeting in the district and at the national level.

This angered the voters in Kajara County saying that they are happy with what their MP did because it was their view.

However, Timuzigu appealed to the people of Kajara County to embrace LC I and LCII elections and rally behind the NRM flag bearers even though  he was not given the shs3m which was given to all NRM MPs to organize  and facilitate all NRM flag bearers in their constituencies.
