It has been an emotional day as Amb. Richard Kabonero bid farewell to the staff of Uganda High Commission Kigali.
A lot of spoken and unspoken words have been said upon him by both fellow Diplomats and other support of the mission. Both male and female staff shed tears as they bid him farewell.
They all applauded him for being a good leader, mentor, advocate for staff welfare, a father figure and above all a good team player. Many failed to speak and others spoke in between sobs.
He thanked the team for working together to ensure the mission succeeds and argued them to extend the same cooperation to his successor so that Uganda can keep shining.
He has officially handed over duty to Ms. Anne Katusiime, the Deputy High Commissioner.
