State Minister for Labour, Employment and Industrial relations Herbert Kabafunzaki has maintained his stand that he did not take the bribe as earlier alleged.

The minister, who has been sent to Luzira Prison till tomorrow for his bail application ruling, insists that the whole bribe scenario was a set up adding that he never at anytime called Hamid Muhammad, the proprietor of AYA to meet up.

According to Kabafunzaki, he was at Serena Hotel having lunch with his daughter when Hamid came to him with the bribe unexpectedly.

“This is a set up. I didn’t call that man from AYA to meet up. I was at Serena Hotel having lunch with my daughter. The good thing President Museveni knows that I’m innocent. I’m a man of God,” Kabafunzaki said earlier today.
