Wonders never cease in Uganda. With this new trend by government aided schools to hike schools fees every now and then, many Ugandans are about to give up on producing kids. Not because they don’t love to, but the high expense of living leaves them with nothing apart from staying parentless.
With this new term which has just begun, many schools conspired to hike fees and if you’re not man enough there are no way you can take your child to school especially to these prestigious government aided schools.
As if all was well not until we landed on a senior one admission form of the prestigious Boy’s school, St. Henry’s College Kitovu(SHACK) where parents are required to pay only shs4,400 as school fees but by the end of the day a student parts with shs1.4 million in total in form of functional fees.
SHACK is not the only school good at exploitation; many government aided schools like St.Mary’s College Kisubi, Gayaza High School among others have registered their names on the list of top exploiters.
We at Watchdog we resent such kind of exploitation.
