Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) president, Moses Magogo is under investigation over the illegal sale of FIFA 2014 World Cup tickets.

In 2017, Makindye West Member of Parliament Allan Ssewanyana claimed Magogo was involved in the illicit trading of Brazil 2014 World Cup tickets that were designated for Ugandans.

Then, Sewanyana said he had raised a petition on behalf of Ugandan football fans who has witnessed cases of corruption, abuse of office and integrity issues detering football development in the country.

Magogo, a staunch supporter of Fifa president Giovanni Vincenzo “Gianni” Infantino, will now step aside for two months to aid the said investigations.

The news of the latest development came through as Magogo, who has already shown interest in ditching FUFA for a parliamentary seat, chaired the 95th FUFA Ordinary Assembly on Saturday, September 28 2019 at the Multi-Purpose Hall in Adjumani district

First vice president Justus Mugisha will be in charge until FIFA deems the inquest complete.
