Boxing legend Badru Lusambya aka Mr Crash seeks a rematch with rival Muhamad Sebyala aka Ssalongo after the former was humiliatingly knocked out at their last match on Boximg Day last year.

Lusambya and Sebyala faced off in non-title super light weight bout  last year but none of them seemed to have gotten enough of each other, with a rematch slated for this year to settle scores.

The fight seemed to be long over due since the two were the top two seeded boxers in the category. And seemed to want each other in the ring despite Lusambya calling it a sparring session before the game.

Sebyala who was less fancied by many prior to the match won via a technical knock out, after crashing Lusambya in the seventh round at La’aponye Hotel parking. Now he claims to be ready for a rematch after the 90 days that he gave to Lusambya for recovery are done.

“I am open to a rematch with Lusambya on any day. I gave him 90 days to recover but am already back in training preparing to knock him out again,” Sebyala said.

‘Mr Crash’ who is one of Uganda’s most talented and feared boxers in the past decade or so claims that he doesn’t know what affected him on the day of the fight as his body just gave in but claims to be more than ready this time to right his wrongs.

“I just don’t know what was wrong but this has never happened to me. My hands and legs failed, everything but I’m ready to fight him again on bigger titles,” Lusambya said.

Mr Eddie Gombya of ‘A Step by Step Promotions’ which organised the boxing game confirmed that Lusambya and Sebyala will face up again this year.

“I believe Lusambya can do it and win this time especially that he will have a tune up fight in April before the rematch”.
