SIRONKO: The Most Rev Dr Stephen Samuel Kaziimba Mugalu the Archbishop of Church of Uganda has early this morning arrived in North Mbale Diocese for his two days official Pastoral Visit.
He was welcomed at Christ Church, Mahempe in Sironko Town by the Diocesan Bishop Rt Rev Samuel Gidudu, Clergy and jubilant Christians.
The Archbishop will begin his Pastoral Visit by meeting Head Teachers of Church founded Schools in the Diocese at St Luke Church of Uganda in Sironko Town today.
On Sunday, he will be the Main Celebrant in a Service at St Matthews Cathedral Buhugu and will later lay a foundation stone on Bishop’s Residence.
His Grace the Archbishop will then conclude his Pastoral Visit in the Diocese with a meeting with all Clergy and their spouses on the same day.

North Mbale Diocese started in 1992. North Mbale Diocese covers the two Districts of Sironko and Bulambuli, bordering Mbale to the South, Mount Elgon National Park to the east, Kapchorwa to the North East, Karamoja to the North and Kumi to the West.

North Mbale Diocese has 89 Primary and 12 secondary Church founded schools.

The Diocese has established an organic demonstration farm at the Diocesan Headquarters to serve as a centre for improved farming methods.
The Diocese is in partnership with CMS-Africa with the main focus of discipleship for holistic transformation by harnessing the locally available and God-given resources.
