Aloysius Mukasa, a local Councillor in Rubaga South has been accused of raping a 16 year old girl.

According to the victim (name withheld), it all started when when she composed a song praising Mukasa, who is plans to stand for Rubaga South parliamentary seat in 2021. Since the song was good, a one Julius Katongole linked her to the politician who liked the song.

As a sign of appreciation, Mukasa promised her that she will have to re-record the song with one of the Bobi Wine’s vocalists Nubian Li. Their arrangement was to meet Nubian Li at TriStar hotel in Najjanankumbi.

Unfortunately, Nubian Li didn’t show up. It’s alleged that Mukasa used that chance to lure the young girl into the trap which he used to force himself on her.

“After the incident,  the victim went and reported the matter to her mother a one Juliet Tushabe who ran directly to the Ndeeba Police station and opened a case file accusing Mukasa of raping her daughter.

Preliminary investigations were done and doctors confirmed that the victim’s private organs were penetrated and severe bruises were all-over her body.

“Following the doctor’s report, Ndeeba police post summoned Mukasa. However, before making a statement, they advised him to sort out their matters amicably, a suggestion I turned down since I wanted justice for my daughter,” said Tushabe.

“When i refused, Ndeeba police station OC embarked on threatening me and my daughter that’s why we went to Katwe Police station but we have not been helped either.”

According to an officer at Katwe police station whose identity has been concealed for security reasons, the case file is being handled in room 17 however officers were contacted by men who claimed to work with President Museveni’s brother Gen. Salim Saleh and requested that the matter be put on halt as they engage with the family to save Mukasa whom they claimed is Gen. Saleh’s friend.

Meanwhile, the victim’s family is working tooth and nail to ensure that justice is prevailed; they are trying to get into contact with State House Anti-Corruption Unit headed by Lt Col Edith Nakalema to help them solve the matter.
