Masaka municipality Member of Parliament Mathias Mpuuga and CBS FM general manager Michael Kawooya Mwebe have been dragged to court for failure to pay back a debt which has accumulated to sh497,365,000.
The legislator and the CBS FM boss were taken to court by R.L Jain Ltd through their lawyers Verma Jivram & Associates advocates and solicitors.
In the suit, Jain says the duo borrowed Sh25 million on April 8, 2016 but failed to pay back, yet the land title offered as collateral has bonafide occupants which makes it difficult to sell it off, since it involves evicting People.
The case has been submitted on file number CS 710/2019.
