When asked about the team preparation, head coach Ndaula Steven said that he is not ready to give opponents any chance of testing the sweetness of the trophy that his team is defending.

“I trust my girls and am very sure that we shall not give any open chance to our opponents. We must defend our tittle.” Noted Ndaula.

He went ahead to warn all his opponents that this time he is a bit tougher as compared to the previous editions since he has new blood that cuts across East Africa.

This year’s National rally will take place in Mbarara district at Bishop Stewart University on 16th and 17th of March 2018 starting from 9:00am on each day.

Uganda Netball Federation General secretary Miss Kisomose Annet said that the organization for the tournament shall be according to the laws that govern the federation.

To ease the running of the tournament, Kisomose added that clubs shall pay a sum of Shs200,0000, institutions and Secondary schools Shs150,000 as well as Shs100,000 for primary schools.

She noted that an extra fee of Shs50, 000 shall be paid by schools that wish to reside in the school.

KIU sets off on Friday with a team of 15 players and three officials to defend their title.
