Rastafarians who call Freedom Center near Queens Way in Kampala their home have joined the traditional religion called Tondism saying their beliefs are one and the same.
Tondism leader Sabakabona Jumba Lubowa Aligaweesa and his counterpart Rasta Kalanda Gasuza declared their new bond, recently whereby they’ll agitate for their place in the religious scene.
Jumba advised police to stop shaving the hair of rastas when arrested saying it goes against their beliefs and religion.
Jumba and Kalanda also declared June 3 a day to remember Kabaka Mwanga. June 3 is traditionally known as Martyr’s day.
