Assistant Superintendent of Police Rashid Semugenyi has passed on today at Case Hospital after losing the battle to kidney complications.
The 28 year old officer was abandoned at Case Hospital following Uganda Police Force’s failure to clear his medical bills.
Last year Police promised to take him to India for a kidney transplant but unfortunately he couldn’t travel when he was unfit thus opted to admit him at Case Hospital where he has been undergoing dialysis.
He had spent a month at the hospital, most of which has been in the ICU thus racking up bills of over Shs40 million which police failed to clear.
The deceased formerly worked in Mitooma District.
May his Soul Rest In Peace.
