Hill Water

This was at a function that took place at the Grand Imperial Hotel Kampala, where a total of 100 balls was received on the sport of the first session.

Bagaga Ismail, the federation vice president represented president Hadijah Namanda who is currently on leave in Switzerland.

On receiving the balls, Bagaga thanked the Japan Volleyball Federation for the good work they have done towards developing the sport.

“This is the time for our own clubs to taste the real ball before going to the Arena for games” Noted Bagaga.

He went ahead to say that most of the balls that the federation was having are expired and this was the right time for them to get new balls.

“I must applaud the Japan Volleyball Federation for redeeming us” Added Bagaga.

Chairman Uganda Diaspora Japan Mr. Livingston Kyeyune thanked also the Japanese for the tremendous work done towards developing the sport.

He said that this is a good chance for Uganda clubs to taste the ball that is played at the international levels.

In addition, Kyeyune noted that Ugandan clubs are good but only had one problem of balls. He said that when teams like sport S go for international games, or even the national team, they find a challenge in the texture of the ball which is different from the one that they have been training with here home in Uganda.

In his speech, one of the volleyball fraternity committee members Cornelius Egwenyu confirmed that they shall seat as a committee and discuss on how to give out the balls. He said this believing that each club should get at least one ball to practice with before going for the league games in Lugogo.
