Tentative burial program for veteran UPDF officer Brig. Taban Kyabihende

The tentative burial program of fallen Uganda People’s Defence Forces (UPDF) high ranking officer Brig. Geoffrey Taban Kyabihende has been released.

According to UPDF spokesperson Brig. Richard Karemire, there will be a requiem service at All Saints Cathedral –Nakasero on Thursday 10th August, 2017.

Brig. Kyabihende will be laid to rest on Friday 11th August in Kazo, Kiruhura District.

He passed on, on Monday morning at Nakasero hospital – Kampala after losing battled to cancer.

Since May 2014, Brig. Kyabihende has been Uganda’s Defence Attaché to the Democratic Republic of Congo.

He was a Company Commander in 3rd Battalion under Col Lumumba at the time of the NRA/NRM liberation of Uganda in 1986 and rose to the level of Brigade and Division Commander in various NRA/UPDF units and formations during his time of service.
