The Uganda Media Centre has been transferred from Office of the President to Ministry of ICT.

In a statement dated 23 June 2017, the change came in place following the restructuring of ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) and it was found necessary to transfer the government communication centre from Office of the President to Ministry of ICT with effect from 1 July, 2017.

“On behalf of the staff of the office of the president, I extend our appreciation to you and through you to all staff of Media Centre for the tremendous contribution towards informing and educating the population about what is happening in the government machinery from time to time, through various channels of communication,” said Deborah Katuramu, Secretary office of the President.

“It is my hope that the working relationship will be maintained as we are all constituent parts of the executive,”she added.
