On Friday evening it was Makerere University Researcher Dr. Stella Nyanzi was reportedly kidnapped by unknown state agents.
She was picked from up after the Rotary Fellowship that she addressed that evening.
However, today morning CIID Boss Grace Akullo revealed the law enforcement body was holding Nyanzi.
“I can confirm Nyanzi’s arrest,” said Akullo.
Though Akullo did not reveal where the controversial lecturer is being detained, it’s reported that Nyanzi was taken to Butabika Mental Hospital.
The CIID boss said they needed to first check her mental status in order to establish their next move.
