UBSA spreads beach soccer wings to Rwanda

Uganda Beach Soccer Association (UBSA) has been behind the spread of the game of beach soccer in East Africa and now it has widened its territories to Rwanda.

It started with Zanzibar in Dec 2014, Kenya Feb 2015, Tanzania 2016 and now Rwanda March 2017.

The launch of the game is accompanied with offer of the course in refereeing and coaching.

20 Participants are attending beginners course in beach soccer refereeing and 20 in beach soccer coaching.

The course is taking place at Umuganda  Stadium in Rubavu district, Western Province, Rwanda.

Practical sessions are conducted at TAMU TAMU Beach Resort, Rubavu at the shores of Lake Kivu.

The course facilitators are Ali Mwebe, who is the CAF Beach Soccer/ Futsal Referees instructor and Bashir Mutyaba Coaching Facilitator.

The course was opened by Federation Rwanda Football Association (FERWAFA). Also Present were Mrs. Felicite Rwemarika the Chief Executive Officer of the ORGANISATION OF WOMEN IN SPORTS (AKWOS), Mr. Muhammed Kakooza, technical advisor of Ministry of Sports & Culture, Rwanda.

The course will end on Thursday 9th March 2017.
