Kadongo kamu music legend Fred Sebatta is currently in hiding after failing to clear a Shs260 million debt.

It is alleged that in 2018, the Matendo Band boss who is suffering from a chronic disease secured a loan from a one Ugandan Nkuba kyeyo known as Q. Mutebi and several creditors in the country so as to attain specialised medical treatment in the US.

However, since then the ‘Nalwewuba’ singer has failed to clear the debt. He now calls wellwishers to rescue him from the creditors who have vowed to have him arrested.

This is not the first time Sebatta goes into hiding over debts.

In 2017, city promoter Edward Miiro dragged him to police over failure to pay a loan of Shs4 million.

It was reported that Miiro extended the loan to the singer three years back when he was indebted. He had promised to pay in the same year something he did not do.

He was later rescued by Operation Wealth Creation boss Gen Salim Saleh.

“We know so many people in government, you just see us moving. Saleh is my personal friend. We have dealt together so many times and we are still in touch. People shouldn’t be surprised that he gave me money” He bragged after receiving the money.
