Online Comedienne Martha ‘Kay’ Kagimba has claimed that people who leaked her nudes were on a mission to force her to commit suicide.
During an interview with a local television station, Martha claimed that her nudes leaked at a time when her career was growing so fast and some sadists plotted to bring her down by releasing her nudes.
“People couldn’t stand my success that’s why my nudes leaked. When people try to put you down it’s not because you’re a bad person but rather because they can’t stand your happiness and what to bring you to their level,” she said.
Martha claimed after her nudes leaked, she was so traumatized that she couldn’t even look into people’s faces or even want to wake up from bed, but later realized that she had to harden up and face the challenges set.
“But after what happened, I realized I must not let him win and for that reason, I finally made up and stood firm. Though people still tease me on social media, they should know that I am here to stay.”
Martha further noted that these nudes were not leaked by her boyfriend as some people thought, but her phone was stolen and the thief started asking her for money, and openly vowed to torture her until she kills herself.
Though she paid the money that they asked, Martha claimed that the blackmailer went on and released the pictures.
“I know girls who have been blackmailed, they ignore and the guy backed off. But for me it was unfortunate that I got exposed. I had paid so much but you cannot lose twice. I stopped after prolonging my suffering by paying him off,” she said.
Martha joined the likes of Desire Luzinda, Zari Hassan, Judith Heard, Maama Fiina and Cindy Sanyu among others after her nudes leaked this year.
